On the early morning hours of 25th of January 2022, while Athens was getting hit by snow blizzard "Elpida", "Olympic Eagle" took an unexpected "last flight". Covered by snow and ice the aircraft rotated up to its wheels offering this "take off" image and slowly moved back to its position in the afternoon, visibly undamaged. Stored for over 20 years at Hellinikon airport, SX-OAB is due to become part of the Hellenic civil aviation museum.

Located in the Appalachian Mountains, this is one unique airport! Runway 8/26 is located at 4,548 MSL and has a listed dimension of 3,300ft by 70ft, although that seems generous. Opened in June 2009 it was closed about a year later. It cost around two million to build and was last sold for a hundred thousand USD. There was supposedly a single landing/takeoff from this airport done by a C182; the video of which can be seen online.

The occasion was the christening of Austrian Airlines Caravelle OE-LCI to the name "Salzburg" on that day.
